Celebrating Rescue Dogs with Paw Print Studio

As a pet photographer, I have the privilege of working with dedicated pet parents and dogs that are adored, respected and most of all safe in a loving home. But with thousands of dogs and cats in Rescues and Shelters looking for homes, I feel compelled to use my skills to shine a light on these deserving animals, capturing their unique personalities to increase their chances of finding their own loving families. That’s why since 2016, I have dedicated a portion of my time to Dog rescues and shelters throughout Connecticut and beyond. With a thriving Pet Photography business, it’s important to me that I still maintain a branch of my business as dedicated to volunteer and support Rescue and Shelter dogs.

Since 2016, I have photographed hundreds of dogs throughout Connecticut and even up in Canada helping to give them exposure to find the right home. I’ve received numerous emails from new pet parents telling me they saw my portrait and knew that was the pup for them - that’s just an amazing feeling!

In 2019, I travelled with an amazing organization called Hearts Speak to Los Angeles, where together with a group of photographers we photographed every single dog in the Los Angeles shelter system. The program was called Seen = Saved. It was an unbelievable experience that captured the resilience and spirit of these amazing animals.

In 2021, I had the fun opportunity to photograph alumni of Dog Star Rescue to be featured on the outside of their transport van called the Bark Bus! On a couple of occasions I’ve seen the bus drive past and get such a thrill to see those images! Check out the piece that NBC Connecticut aired about the Bark Bus! https://www.nbcconnecticut.com/news/local/clear-the-shelters/bark-bus-brings-dogs-from-overcrowded-shelters-to-connecticut-for-adoption/2847320/

In 2020, I partnered with an organization called Pets for Vets which places rescue service dogs with Veterans to help with all kinds of healing. It was a beautiful experience to hear their stories and witness the love and healing that dogs can provide.

When you choose to support my pet photography business, you're not just investing in beautiful pet portraits —you're also contributing to my mission of aiding shelter and rescue dogs. I'm incredibly grateful for each and every client who has entrusted me with their pet's portraits and for the opportunities this business has provided me to make a positive impact in the lives of animals in need.

If you’re considering adding a furry friend to your family, here are a list of the rescues I have worked with and are run by truly wonderful people dedicated to saving animals. There is a rescue animal for everyone - please consider adopting rather than shopping! #adoptdontshop
